# koconverter failed to convert one excell document to txt


$ koconverter file.xls file.txt
koffice (filter manager): ERROR: Couldn't create a valid filter chain to text/plain !
koconverter: ERROR: *** ¡Ha fallado la conversión! ***

# Software context
$ koconverter -v
Qt: 3.3.7
KDE: 3.5.8
KOConverter: 1.4
$ uname -a
Linux myGutsy 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Sun Oct 14 23:05:12 GMT 2007 i686 GNU/Linux


# Tried with kspread and converted it ok (?!?)
$ kspread -v
Qt: 3.3.7
KDE: 3.5.8
KSpread: 1.6.3

version 1.4?  thats released almost 2½ years ago, please try a newer version first and reopen if its still reproducable there.
