Description Walter Koch 2007-11-16 13:06:02 UTC
Version: 0.9.2-final (using KDE 3.5.7 "release 72.2" , openSUSE 10.3)
Compiler: Target: x86_64-suse-linux
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.22.12-0.1-default

The older version of digikam had no problem with my cameras Rollei dr4 and Rollei dr5. The new version (0.9.2-final, kde 3.5.7 rel. 72.2, opensuse 10.3) recognize the cameras automatically but doesn't connect it (in normal and ptp-mode).

Walter,

Sound like a libGphoto2 problem... not digiKam.

There is no camera drivers in digiKam. Witch libgphoto2 version you use ?

Walter,

this sounds similar to
  http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=152382
See comment c#2 there for some tests to run.

Thanks a lot in advance, Arnd
Comment 5 Marcus Meissner 2007-11-17 10:20:31 UTC
likely the same error, yes. it is the same driver and firmware on camera.

New digiKam 4.11.0 is available.

Can you reproduce the problem with this release ?

With digiKam 5.0.0, this problem is not reproducible.
