Description Paul Weiss 2007-11-14 09:06:13 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

The website is http://stage6.divx.com

Konqueror cannot play embedded divx files from this site. I was able to configure Konqueror to associate divx files with Kaffeine, but the playback is below the video box and it is usually obscured by some button. Stage6 is a great website and it would be nice if the videos would play properly Konqueror.

I forgot to mention that I'm using Kubuntu 7.10 and Konqueror 3.58.

Confirmed with kmplayer too.
Comment 3 Maksim Orlovich 2007-11-14 17:24:28 UTC
I don't think there is any way this can work in kaffeine, unless they added scripting when I wasn't looking, kmplayer should at least get further, though.

Videos work "fine", this bug is more placement of video window.
To get kaffeine work on kubuntu I'd to add video/divx mime type and associate kaffeine for default player for it. But both players will show video window below of the main video frame and those buttons overlaps the video frame.
Comment 5 Paul Weiss 2007-11-14 18:56:55 UTC
If Firefox can do it with mplayer then Konqueror can do it with Kmplayer. I also tried Kmplayer, but I had the same problems with the addition of screwed up colors.

This bug is not relevant for KDE 4.7.3.
