amaroK as a front end to MPD would be a really cool feature.

Just an idea that hit me in the face as being blindingly obvious, however misguided. I honestly can't see how it would be implemented (given that MPD maintains its own database and playlists), but it strikes me as a feature that would be very popular if it existed.

... If it's possible without completely redoing the whole program.

This is currently way beyond the scope of amarok. we know it is often requested and would be cool, but don't have the man power to do it.

regardless, something like this would be best to have support in Phonon instead.
