Compiler:          Target: i586-suse-linux
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.16.53-0.16-default

"The picture can not be saved. This may be due to insufficient privileges"
* tried in different folders
* all of them have sufficient privileges
* has already been working

In a fact it did not like the suggested file extension.
After changing it from MyIco.ico to MyIco.png the image could be saved correctly.
That is the same for KSnapshot.

Still persists for kdegraphics3-imaging-3.5.9-21.4.

Can you try 3.5.10 too? Anyway, if not fixed, it will not probably fixed on KDE3 which is low developed in this period. Moreover kview has not been ported to KDE4.

Kview is no more mantained/developed. This bug wish will not be fixed until a new developer will work on it. Moreover this product is not ported to KDE4. On KDE4 it has been replaced by another software. I'm closing this bug as "unmantained". I'm sorry.

Still produces an error message if I try to save as .ico.
