Version: 1.4.7 (using KDE 3.5.8-7.fc8 Fedora, Fedora release 8 (Werewolf)) Compiler: Target: i386-redhat-linux OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.23.1-42.fc8 I had Amarok installed from/with Fedora 7. I have ID3 v2.4 tage for my MP3 files and had no problems with Amarok. I use Kid3 for updating my tags. After updating to Amarok 1.4.7 with Fedora 8, most of my album art are not displayed. I have not checked ALL of the files for which album art are displayed correctly, but it seems that files with ID3 v2.3 tags are displayed correctly. I have: taglib v1.5 (Release: 0.5.20070924svn.fc8) : installed from Fedora 8 repo id3lib v3.8.3 (Release: 17.fc8) : installed from Fedora 8 repo
You'll have to be much more specific. Is the artwork embedded or did you download it.
More info: The artwork has NOT been downloaded using Amarok. The artwork is a jpeg file which is embedded in the MP3 file using KID3 as part of ID3 v2.4 tag. I just checked the files with Kid3. Kid3 shows the tags and the attached picture (APIC field). But when I select Edit and View (or Export), nothing is shown. Is this a problem with taglib?
It could be a problem with kid3, taglib or amarok. Could you try use a different application to view the artwork? Sorry, none come to mind.
I think the problem is with taglib. I tried inserting album art for a fresh mp3 file using kid3/taglib. The insertion is OK, but later even kid3 is not able to display the image. I have submitted a bug report for taglib: 152209.
