Description F. Haferkorn 2007-11-11 01:01:40 UTC
Version: 1.9.6 (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: I Don't Know
OS: Linux

while operating kmail,
any MailDirectory on the left pane
(like (posteingang etc.)
is selected quite often.

In most cases, the releted preview-window
and the related mail window will be actualized.
For some reason this stucks at my system
(OpenSuse-10.3) and Kmail 1.9.6
from time to time.

A workaround is to select another mail-folder
and then redo the selection.
This helps in most cases.

But this is a bit annoying.

Yours,
     Willy,

P.S.: the kmail application is a great thing,
I am using it a lot. I am loving it :-)

Do you maybe drag (move) the folder a bit by mistake when you click on it to select it? Then a folder will be selected, but the message list does not update. Or is this something different?

Even if I could not reproduce the false bahaviour,
there was no drag active.
When selecting on the left pane a maildir,
a mail is selected at the top mail-pane.
In the few cases, the failure occurs
(No content is presented in the bottom-right pane)
When I try to delete this e-mail,
the complete kmail crashed down several times.

Funny is, after restarting kmail,
the faulty mail seems to be OK from then on.

Yours,
    Willy

I can not reproduce on 1.9.10. Can you please give more information about mail account type and steps to reproduce?

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this version of Kmail has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug. Please try using the latest version of Kmail to see if your issue persists. If it does, please submit a new bug in "kmail2". Thank you!
