Which camera do you have?
Which version of gphoto2 is used (see Help/About/Digikam) ?

What is the output of
  gphoto --auto-detect -L
(typed on the command line)?
What is the output of
   gphoto -l
?
Comment 2 carlossalidoarjona 2007-11-06 19:51:19 UTC
I have a Panasonic DMC-FZ3.
The answer in command line is "command not found".

Comment 4 carlossalidoarjona 2007-11-07 20:13:53 UTC
I used gphoto2 libry version 2.4.o
Comment 5 Arnd Baecker 2007-11-07 20:56:25 UTC
OK, so the status about gphoto2 support for the Panasonic DMC-FZ3
is not clear
(i.e. it is not listed at http://www.gphoto.org/proj/libgphoto2/support.php )
So to proceed you first have to install gphoto2 if it is not installed.
Then try the following commands and report their output:
a) connect camera, what is the output of dmesg
   (only the camera related part)
b) gphoto2 --list ports
c) gphoto2 --auto-detect -L
d) gphoto2 --abilities
e) gphoto2 --list-folders

Quick question: is it possible to set your camera to PTP mode
(check the manual of the camera), and if yes, try that ...
