Protocol autodetections is quite complicated to implement. Do you think it would help if VNC is assumed as default protocol if none is defined?
Sure, that would be fully sufficient for my own purposes.

Krdc could also complete the protocol where the rest of the URL is a bookmark or can be found in the history.
