Version: 1.9.7 (using KDE 3.5.8, Gentoo) Compiler: Target: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.23.1 Imap filtering was buggy before 3.5.8 but it still was working relatively good (borken in the sense that somehow it sometimes suddenly stopped applying the filters, a restart fixed this). Now since I've upgraded to 3.5.8 yesterday, filtering doesn't work at all for incoming mails. Applying filters manually on a "couple" of mails sometimes works, applying them on something like 10 mails doesn't work...one of the mails gets moved, the rest gets striked out, but they're never moved. Also it is impossible to select those striked out mails. Now when I change the folder and back again, I can select them and move them or whatever. It would be nice if somebody could look into this please :-). (this is about using regular imap, not disconnected imap)
Created attachment 21887 [details] shows the striked out mails after applying the filters manually
The same happens here, but kmail version is 1.9.7/KDE 3.5.7 from Debian backports for Etch: package version is kmail-3.5.7-4~bpo40+1. Additionally, it sometimes refuses to show filter dialog when clicking on Settings/Configure Filters... - just nothing happens. I've previously had KDE 3.5.5 from official Etch repo, without problems. When filtering many messages in IMAP folder at once, for some the filter fails to apply (then it leaves the messages striked out as in screenshot posted above), following is written to the console many times: kmail: WARNING: Can not find parent folder kmail: WARNING: Can not find parent folder kmail: WARNING: Can not find parent folder ... I've also tried to enable Filter log viewer, there was correct(imho) output for messages where filter was successfully applied, but no mention of the messages where filter failed.
Same here on Gentoo/KDE 3.5.8/KMail 1.9.7
This appears to be fixed in 1.11.2. Never experienced such case.
