Then I started doing the following for each folder in my home directory (28 in total): * Right click the folder icon * Select properties * Change the icon All went well, until suddenly, on one of the folders, Dolphin just crashed. Thanks for the bug-report! I know it has not been communicated very well, but bugs.kde.org for Dolphin is only valid for the KDE 4 version of Dolphin, the KDE 3 version is not maintained anymore (see also http://enzosworld.gmxhome.de/download.html section "Dolphin 0.8.2 (KDE 3.5.5)" for more infos). This issue is not reproducible anymore with the KDE 4 version of Dolphin...
