(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: kthememgr Version: 1.1.1 If you are in the habit of "trying" different themes (for example just to see what they look like) it is sometimes possible to get into a "stuck" state where resources from several themes are all used together. There seems to be no way to "back" out of all themes and get the default desktop back. - Open up the Control Centre - Choose themes. Try a few and then apply or OK them - Eventually the resources for the window controls (i.e. Exit minimize) will be "stuck" as will the K start button. For example I had a "Mac OS" K button with "Rackmount" window buttons. - Selecting default brought back _some_ of the resources but not the sticky ones like the windows controls the K button and the file manager icons. This _seemed_ to happen after importing a them and trying it. The only solution was to go into all the various .kde/... directories and removing the button and icon resources. This cured the problem -- I didn't even have to edit and *rc files... 2.2.5 SMP kernel KDE 1.1.1 XFree86 3.3.3 John
