Description dresnu 2007-10-17 18:04:43 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

After upgrading last night to kde 3.5.8 from the official kubuntu repositories If I select "System Settings" from Kmenu it crashes without opening at all.

This is what I get:
(no debugging symbols found)
Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/i686/cmov/libthread_db.so.1".

I'm running Kubuntu 7.04. Kcontrol starts from the console without any problem.

Thanks.

Problem has been solved after upgrading to Kubuntu 7.10. So probably this is an ubuntu issue (and should be posted in launchpad too) and not strictly KDE.

Ok, closing as works, there is no useful info in the backtrace anyway.
