Version: 1.2.4 (enterprise 0.20070907.709405) (using KDE 3.5.8, Kubuntu (gutsy) 4:3.5.8-0ubuntu1) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.22-14-generic Kmail replay icon. defoutl action is "replay (R)". when replaying to normal mail means "replay to author (Shift + A)" when replaying to mail-list mail menas "replay to mail list (L)" the problem: replay icon does not chnage, when the action mening chnages. the replay icon has multiple meanings depending on the selected mail. the user has no way to know what will the raplay action do. it has to try it. in may opinion a better solution would be, to change the icon, not just the action.
I'm not sure but i think i made icons for all of those actions
The icons for "reply" and "reply to author" the same in oxygen. If you think that is okay, I close this
I think its ok don't you think so? I meen one would expect the replay to be at least to the author, think the very definition of reply implies the existence of an author as recipient of the replay, without one there would be no reply. I think :D
I was not clear in the original description. "replay icon does not change" it has nothing to do with icons, i can see why the "miss"-understanding... the bug is that the show action representation on the tool bar, does not change, when the default action is changed. example: receive mail from mail list select mail in in-box click replay, "error" the tool-bar is showing "replay" the performed action is "replay to mail list" (different short cat and different action) I remember having inconveniences when receiving mails that have an author (john@foo.com) on a mail list. it was not clear what will happen when clicking replay... Or replay to mails whit multiple CC . I think it would be appropriate that the tool-bar displays exactly what will it do.
present in kmail 1.12.4
