Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.7) Installed from: SuSE RPMs OS: Linux When logging out, the screen blanks and the stalls for a few seconds. Then the KCrash window is shown for half a second on the otherwise black screen, and then I am logged out. There is just enough time to see that the dialog says "KDE daemon crashed.... SIGABORT ..." before the window vanishes. The last part of my .xsession-errors is: ---snip--- startkde: Shutting down... warning: leaving MCOP Dispatcher and still 8 object references alive. - Arts::SampleStorage - Arts::Synth_MULTI_ADD - Arts::Synth_MULTI_ADD - Arts::Synth_PLAY - Arts::StereoVolumeControl - Arts::StereoEffectStack - Arts::Synth_BUS_DOWNLINK - Arts::SoundServerV2 warning: leaving MCOP Dispatcher and still 75 types alive. sound server terminated klauncher: Exiting on signal 1 process 4938: arguments to dbus_message_new_method_call() were incorrect, assertion "_dbus_check_is_valid_path (path)" failed in file dbus-message.c line 1074. This is normally a bug in some application using the D-Bus library. D-Bus not built with -rdynamic so unable to print a backtrace Last DCOP call before KDED crash was from application 'DCOPServer' to object '', function 'applicationRemoved(QCString)'. KCrash: Application 'kded' crashing... Warning: connect() failed: : No such file or directory KCrash cannot reach kdeinit, launching directly. startkde: Running shutdown scripts... startkde: Done. ---snip--- Please advise on how to provide more useful information than this.
I have discovered that this is the same as bug 140668. It is a bit difficult to recreate though, as I had to log in+out 2 times before kded noticed the changed /etc/fstab Please mark this bug a duplicate of 140668.
