Version: (using KDE Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources OS: Linux At the "ACM SIGGRAPH 2007" a paper by Yuan et al was presented with the title "Image deblurring with blurred/noisy image pairs" was presented. Their algorithm allows to combine a noisy (high camera gain) and a blurred (shaky due to short exposure time) photo to get an even better looking photo. See paper for examples and further information. http://portal.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=1276379 http://doi.acm.org/10.1145/1275808.1276379 I'd like to see such an image filter in digiKam/digiKamImagePlugins.
To give this one a boost; A new paper has been written about this subject. More can be found at: http://www.cse.cuhk.edu.hk/~leojia/projects/motion_deblurring/ It would indeed be a nice feature, however I haven't read the paper well enough to give judgment about performance impact etc.
Hi Thomas and happy new year, Please take a look in GMic Qt plugin for digiKam image editor to see if this kind of tool do not exists yet. Best regards Gilles Caulier
For all digiKam Image Editor advanced improvements, we will delegate this the Gmic-Qt plugin which is stable enough everywhere to be used in production. It include more than 400 filters to use by photographers. https://i.imgur.com/OFerL8H.png
