Version: 3.5.7 (using KDE 3.5.7, Mandriva Linux release 2007.1 (Official) for x86_64) Compiler: Target: x86_64-mandriva-linux-gnu OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.22-3mde I have entered hi5.com using konqueror and i saw that is slow, and becomes terribly slow when clicking to view someones profile photos (specially when it haves many photos like 20 or some), so i tested it with firefox and it has nothing to do with konqueror, even when clicking to view profiles photos is fast.
Cannot reproduce (Athlon 700MHz). Is it xorg or konqueror which will eat CPU time? Are you logged in?
For example when clicking in this profile http://hi5.com/friend/18734864--Sam--Profile-html that haves more than 50 photos, when using konqueror it even freezes but with firefox goes ok. Of course after its in cache it doesnt freeze more but thats not the issue.
It's not slow here either, not even that big profile.
first erase konqueror cache and then enter again in that profile that have more than 50 photos and you will see how slow is.
And of course you must click to see that profile photos, its there that konqueror its very very slow, even freezes for almost a minute.
It is still pretty instantanious even with cache completely disabled. We had a bug that slowed down some CSS down recently, this could be an instance of the same bug, and explain why it is fast here on 3.5.7+
I have even created another user to recheck, and yes when accessing that profile and when clicking to view photos, konqueror even freezes before display it. And im using kde-3.5.7 from branch_3.5 with svn release 711884, so as you see its pretty updated, its 2 weeks old.
I found a big profile, http://hi5.com/friend/profile/displayProfile.do?userid=13998480 and thanks to the magic of your khtml devs, it loads nice and fast. Closing. (4.0.84)
