The default color for link -- dark blue is almost identical to black, I can see the difference just because I know that there is difference and I know where to look for. Please, use "normal" blue. Better make power-users customize a bit their settings (well, they always do that), than weekend users just from the start.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
