The same way it's possible to auto set away when no activity has been detected in N minutes, extend the feature to auto set back when activity has been detected for M minutes.

The purpose is to not reset the status if you've accidentally moved the mouse, or came back to the computer just for checking a little something, etc.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
