Description Udrescu Gabriel 2007-08-19 18:57:26 UTC
Version: 1.4.6 (using KDE 3.5.6, compiled sources)
Compiler: Target: i586-mandriva-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.17-13mdv

If I create a playlist and then want to save it (not "Save As" in a different location than ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/playlists) amaroK tells me everything is ok, and shows the newly created playlist in the menu that handles them.
If you restart amaroK, the file remains stored in ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/playlists, but is no more shown in the Playlist menu. The same thing when you save the playlist in a different location, specified by you.
I've also noticed this happens if the playlist have characters like "-" in it's name (without quotes) or numbers. It's doing this when you save more than 4-5 playlists.
Ian Monroe aka eeanm from #amarok and the amaroK development team can confirm this bug.

I have indeed tried to save more playlists, and it appeared to have saved them ok, but after restarting Amarok I only had two playlists available, not all of the ones I saved.

Please upgrade to 1.4.7. I think we have fixed this problem.

If the problem persists with 1.4.7, please reopen this report.

I've actually done that a few days ago, before discovering this bug, and it complained about something related to libamarok.so.0 . I believe my Mandriva doesn't actually support KDE 3.5.7 releases. So, like others said, this bug it's not only on Mandriva. I've heard even Kubuntu users complaining.
