OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.20-gentoo-r8

cannot export to gallery 2. Gives error message "Failed to login into remote gallery. Gallery URL probably incorrect".

Gallery2/webserver info:
Gallery version = 2.2.2 core 1.2.0.4 
PHP version = 4.4.7 cgi 
Webserver = Apache/2.0.54 (Unix) PHP/4.4.7 mod_ssl/2.0.54 OpenSSL/0.9.7e mod_fastcgi/2.4.2 DAV/2 SVN/1.4.2

Kipi Plugins info:
libkipi-0.1.5
kipi-plugins-0.1.4


Steps to reproduce:
Within Digikam select Album menu -> Export -> Remote Gallery Sync
Add/select a gallery, then choose open.
Above error message.

someone that knows the interworkings of the kipi-plugins gallery2 plugin please help!!

Ran into this problem. Make sure that remote is installed, as it is not installed by default. To install it, go to Gallery --> Site Admin --> Plugins --> Get More Plugins --> Remote (Install). First make sure it works with their Java remote: http://gallery.menalto.com/wiki/Gallery_Remote
Now able to successfully log in with gallery 2.2.3, digiKam 0.9.1
