Version: 0.44 (using KDE 3.5.7, Kubuntu (gutsy) 4:3.5.7-1ubuntu13) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.22-9-generic When opening kooka, I want so select my device through the "device selection" menu, but no dialog come up... I tried the backend with scanimage -L, and quiteinsane, and it works without problems... I tried to open kooka in the terminal, but there is no messages...
If this is still a problem, please confirm which backend (SANE device) is detected by scanimage or sane-find-scanner. If you can compile from source, please check out and try the SVN version of kooka/libkscan at branches/work/kooka-kde3. This allows the device to be manually entered in the case where SANE cannot detect it; either specify it on the command line with the '-d' switch, or use the new "Add Scan Device" menu option.
