Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.7) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux In Launchpad, the Korean translations (ko) are imported instead of the Kurdish (ku) translations. This has happened in Edgy and Feisty before, now it is the case in Gutsy. When I reported this a year ago on the mailinglist, Carlos Perelló Marín wrote: "It's a bug from upstream, they have the same translators and the header says is for Korean. It also affects the 'Lao' language." While I manually corrected most in ku, there are still the Korean translations now in the Launchpad database. They should be removed. WTF, how can Kurdish (and Lao) translation be Korean??? Copy error? BTW, it seems there is no ku/Kurdish and lo/Lao component and either Kurdish nor Lao translators (as indicated in http://l10n.kde.org/team-infos.php?teamcode=ku and http://l10n.kde.org/team-infos.php?teamcode=lo ) couldn't be added as CC, so I send them private mail about the bug)
In fact there are Kurdish translators, and there are lots of our translations (including Amarok) in Launchpad and therefore in Kubuntu. But unfortunately the official KDE team leader did not yet commit anything upstream, which is a pity.
That's really pity because translation done in KDE are benefit for all who use KDE but in Launchpad essentially only for Ubuntu's (and their faimily) users...
Essentially, very simple solution would be just remove probably erroneously committed Kurdish and Lao translations... (but I don't know who is responsible for cleaning repos - maybe there is more such errors...) Though, it leaves open a question are there amarok translation for Kurdish and Lao at all?

Could you contact with KDE team leader so he can commit your contribution? Or is he inactive? (I send him a private mail about the bug but he hadn't responded so far...)
I have contacted him several times to commit ANY of our DOZENS of contributions. He has not yet committed a single file, not from us and not from elsewhere. Though not very responsive, he answers from time to time. Please feel free to urge him to commit what is already translated.
Well, if he is quite inactive or just shy :-) and you (or somebody else) are just opposite, active enough, you could probably request to be coordinator yourself...
I hoped to avoid that, because I am already much involved in GNOME, OOo and elsewhere. But it seems almost inevitable.
