Description Max Cantor 2007-08-04 22:04:16 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I have an Epson Stylus Color 740 attached to an SMC Wireless Barricade G router with a USB print server. I used kdeprint to setup the printer as a remote LPD queue on my router's IP address (192.168.2.1) and the correct queue (LPT1). I was perplexed, because when I hit "Test Page" and it said, "Page successfully sent to printer," nothing happened. After a long time I decided to try adding it anyway and printing from kate. When I continued the rest of the way through the wizard, added the printer, then printed a page from kate, it worked fine. kdeprint's "Test Page" function failed to print, though, which completely misled from seeing that I had set everything up properly after all.
