Version:           1.9.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from:    Debian stable Packages
Compiler:          gcc (GCC) 4.1.2 20061115 (prerelease) (Debian 4.1.1-21) 
OS:                Linux

If a document is changed externally kile reloads it but does not update the structure view. The reloading of a changed document should trigger this (like saving does).

This might be related to bug #58970
don't collapse structure tree on save or document change

or at least looked at while implementing the "remember tree state" feature.

Fixed in Kile 2.0 beta 2 (696353).
