Description Susanne Oberhauser 2007-07-25 15:10:17 UTC
Version: 0.12.3 (using KDE 3.5.5 "release 45.4" , openSUSE 10.2)
Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.18.8-0.5-default

I'm using the "Efficient" Style.

Normal behaviour: When the mouse is over the time, it switches to the date, and when the mouse is moved away from the time/date field, it switches back to time.

Bug: when I move the mouse fast over the time/dates of a longer chat, then the display doesn;t switch back for many of them.

A screenshot after moving the mouse in the red circled area: some of the dates
did not revert to display a time.

I didn't even know that feature was there.
Comment 3 Dominik Tritscher 2008-07-23 13:36:13 UTC
I can confirm that bug with the "efficient" style in Kopete 0.50.80 from Kubuntu packages.
Comment 4 Andy Goossens 2008-12-24 20:12:53 UTC
This is a KHTML bug. The "un-hoovering" does not always work.

Dear user,

KHTML (and KJS) was a long time more or less unmaintained and got removed in KF6.

Please migrate to use a QWebEngine based HTML component.

We will do no further fixes or improvements to the KF5 branches of these components beside important security fixes.

For security issues, please see:

https://kde.org/info/security/

Sorry that we did not fix this issue during the life-time of KHTML.

Greetings
Christoph Cullmann
