Version: 0.12.5 (using KDE 3.5.7, Gentoo) Compiler: Target: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.21-suspend2-r6 I clicked cancel, when kwallet asked me for my password, so 4 password-input-fields popped up. I did not want to go online, so I wanted to click cancel to, but it did not work. I appeared, that I hat to click them in the right order, the other windows where disabled. (Maybe thats not a problem, when Kopete ist started separatly, but here it came up on auto start and my kmail window layed over the password windows. So I did not know which window was the one on top.) I don't know if that is another problem: When Kopete runs on desktop (or viewport) 1, I chat on desktop 2 and Kopete gets disconnected, it displays the warning on desktop 1. Thats confusing, since I cannot chat anymore whithout seeing a warning.
Modal behavior in password dialogs is still present in Kopete 0.12.7 (Using KDE 3.5.9) but the password dialogs are not modal (allowing you to cancel in any order you want) in Kopete 0.50.80 (Using KDE 4.00.83). Thus, the bug described in the title is fixed in the Kopete 0.5x series. The last paragraph is indeed "another problem". If the problem is still present, I suggest filing a separate bug report. (I don't know how to fake a disconnection, or I would have tested it.)
(I was testing using Kubuntu 8.04, btw.)
I got a "username has been disconnected: unknown error" pop-up by turning on and off my wireless while using Desktop 2, and the popup did not appear on Desktop 1. (Using Kopete 0.50.80 with KDE 4.1.60). I think this bug is fixed.
Marking this as WORKSFORME. Gerrit, if you still have the pop up appearing on the wrong desktop occasionally, submit that as a new bug and we can fix it.
