Version:           0.12.5 (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from:    Gentoo Packages
Compiler:          GCC: i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.4.6 
OS:                Linux

When I send plain text messages through our local jabber server all the text is received as one long line without newline symbols (\n).
But when I receive multi line messages from another jabber client (sim), kopete displays them correctly: newlines are present.

I tested ICQ: with icq messages kopete works correct.
