Description Johannes Jowereit 2007-06-11 18:24:16 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

This is how you can reproduce the bug:
- Type some example text, e.g. "Test1 Test2 Test3 Test4"
- Start a search for "Test3". The word "Test3" is selected.
  - It is not necessary that a word with spaces before and after it is searched for.
  - The search must be done with a search dialog box, KDE4-KWrite's incremental search will not work.
- Overwrite the selected word by typing something.
- Press <SHIFT>+<RIGHT ARROW> two times.

The beginning of the selection "jumps" to the beginning of the word you searched for.

This is already fixed in 3.5.7 and 4.0.

...which means it probably has nothing to do with incremental search (in fact, it has nothing to do with search, period AFAIK) and more to do with it already being fixed in KDE4 :-).
