Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.7) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux When I disable "launch feedback" for an application placed in kicker, its icon disappears. Steps to Reproduce: 1. right click menu -> internet -> Firefox Web Browser (or something else) 2. select 'add to main panel' 3. right click firefox icon on the panel, (or something else) select 'Configure firefox web browser button' (or something else) 4. switch to the application tab 5. click advanced options button 6. unselect 'enable launch feedback' 7. click 'OK', 'OK' I see that ~/.kde/share/apps/kicker/mozilla-firefox.desktop doesn't contain the Icon value: [Desktop Entry] Comment=Browse the Web Comment[en_US]=Browse the Web Exec=firefox %u GenericName=Web Browser GenericName[en_US]=Web Browser MimeType=application/vnd.mozilla.xul+xml;application/xhtml+xml;text/html;text/xml Name=Firefox Web Browser Name[en_US]=Firefox Web Browser Path= StartupNotify=true Terminal=false TerminalOptions= Type=Application X-DCOP-ServiceType=none X-KDE-SubstituteUID=false X-KDE-Username= I tried to add 'Icon=firefox' value to the mozilla-firefox.desktop but seems that kicker doesn't display, anyway, the right icon. I also tried to copy the mozilla-firefox.desktop listed above into my Desktop and, adding 'Icon=SOMETHING', it seems to work. So the problem seems related to kicker itself. Before to open this bug report two Kubuntu developers confirmed and reproduced the problem. Probably is too late to have this bug fixed in the 3.5.x branch, but I hope to have it fixed for the next big release :-).
Kicker is currently unmaintained, you can look to your distribution for help, however.
