Version: 0.9.1 (using KDE 3.5.7, Kubuntu (feisty) 4:3.5.7-0ubuntu1~feisty2) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.20-16-generic I was attempting to export a Digikam album to "Web Gallery". I filled in all the forms and it started its "Generating gallery..." screen. It successfully generated all the thumbnails, etc., taking several minutes to do so. However, at the end, after completion, a big red "X" appeared with the error: "Could not load XML file '/home/adrian/HTMLGallery/gallery.xml'" I checked in the /home/adrian/HTMLGallery/ directory, and all the thumbnails had been created, the .xml and theme files were all there, but there were no viewable .html pages.
Created attachment 20803 [details] The gallery.xml file that was created but "could not be accessed" This is the gallery.xml file which Digikam *did* create (but for some reason is not able to 'access' according to it's error message). It seems, to my untrained eye, to be well-formed.
Also, I can confirm that this does not happen for all albums. I tried it with a smaller album and this one loaded fine (though they both used the matrix style). It might be something to do with the filenames of the images or something. For that reason I attached the gallery.xml file itself a few minutes ago. I hope this helps!
This is a duplicate of bug 140374: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=140374 even though this one came first, that one is more detailed and has actually discovered the root cause. Could someone who is able to do so please mark this bug as a duplicate of 140374?
