Description sheeettin 2007-06-05 02:37:39 UTC
Version: 3.5.7 (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

Basically what the summary says.
On a clean install of Kubtuntu, khelpcenter is installed and works fine--except for searching the application documentation, because building this index requires the "htdig" package, which is neither installed by default nor required. In the package dependencies, it is merely suggested.

I suggest that the dependency be changed to "require" so that application documentation can be generated more easily.

As a side note, I have been using Kubuntu since Dapper, and hadn't figured out why it wouldn't generate the index until it was mentioned.

Please send a bug report to Kubuntu, we don't make Kubuntu packages.
