Description Paul Pacheco 2007-05-25 04:42:56 UTC
Version: (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: gcc 4.1.2
OS: Linux

Summited because of HIG Hunting season.

In Konqueror configuration dialog.

A paged configuration dialog should be used when there is more than one category of options.

What? konqueror already has this, and has for a long time.
HIG Hunting season? More like witch-hunt ;)
Comment 2 Paul Pacheco 2008-01-28 02:39:36 UTC
It did in 3.5.x

it does not in 4.0.0

in the new version there is a tree of categories.

According to the HIG it should look like this:

As for the witch-hunt comment, keep in mind that some of us took the time to go through some of the config dialogs and filed bugs for them as was asked in http://dot.kde.org/1178743323/. Why would you ask us to file bugs and then complain that we actually did?

Is there still an HIG issue in Konqueror 4.8.4 or later? Please recheck and either close this bug or update the version field. Thanks,

After 4-5 years of complete silence, I can't say I care anymore.

You can open yourself konqueror's config dialog and check if it still uses a tree.

I am not going to install KDE just to verify if this bug is still there.
Since you are asking me to do it, I will simply close the bug.
