Version: unknown (using KDE 3.5.6, Kubuntu (feisty) 4:3.5.6-0ubuntu14) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.20-15-generic I've tried this numerous times. The end result is the same. It crashes. I've yet to actually get it working in this version of Kubuntu's KDE. This is a fresh install. I tried starting fresh with a new ~/.kde directory and the result was the same. I've got 3 backtraces. The last of which was with the fresh .kde directory.

Scott, This is the famous crash caused by the basket plugin. We have no control over basket. Please remove the basket rpms and you should be fine to run Kontact. Contact your distro to report this problem. They may even have a fix by now.
>This is the famous crash caused by the basket plugin. I wouuldn't have known that, thanks. >We have no control over basket. OK, how about the developer(s) of Basket then? ;) >Please remove the basket rpms and you should be fine to run Kontact. I would except I don't install RPMS in Kubuntu. ;) >Contact your distro to report this problem. They may even have a fix by now. Will do. Thanks for your help.
