Description Maciej Pilichowski 2007-05-16 20:15:41 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Please do not hardcode this color (currently it is set to blue) -- I use green variations for OSD and the result while changing volume is not nice.
So please, use the same color as the background (OSD) or let user configure it.

The color is actually not hardcoded. It's derived from your current KDE color scheme.

Amarok does not use hardcoded colors at all.
Comment 2 Maciej Pilichowski 2007-05-16 21:34:22 UTC
Mark, I am changing status back -- you explained it is not hardcoded, but it works for you only because those schemas are not in conflict. It is not true in general though -- I like green for amarok, I like blue for KDE, but it does not mean I like green and blue mixed at the same time.

So, (the second part of) my wish still applies -- please improve visual effect by configurable color or by using it from amarok settings. There is no relation that KDE title bar (?) color and amarok background color match (any why should they anyway?).

Ok, I understand now that you're using the "custom color scheme" option. Have to disappoint you though: In trunk (Amarok 2.0) we've removed this option altogether. You can only use the system color theme. Which makes this bug pretty much invalid, since there is no chance that this will be fixed in the stable branch.
Comment 4 Mark Kretschmann 2007-05-16 23:06:17 UTC
Oh and I forgot to mention: We've removed the volume bar in the OSD as well.

Mark, are you serious? Could you (in short) say what reasons were to make such changes?
