Description systemz89 2007-05-13 10:47:30 UTC
Version: svn (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: gcc version 4.1.2 20061115 (prerelease) (SUSE Linux)
OS: Linux

I set in Settings->Configure->Identity a photo. This photo is visible to other Kopete users, but it doesn't visible for Messenger users... or there is only a whole black avatar... it's really annoying :(
Comment 1 Andre Duffeck 2007-05-13 12:30:57 UTC
Should be fixed in SVN/KDE 3.5.7
Comment 2 systemz89 2007-05-13 13:31:36 UTC
systemz89@user:~> sh kopete.sh
At revision 664199.
systemz89@user:~>

So I had the latest SVN, and still don't work :(

kopete.sh:
svn co -N svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/branches/KDE/3.5/kdenetwork >null
cd kdenetwork
svn co svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/branches/KDE/3.5/kde-common/admin >null
svn up kopete

If I see an update I do the followinh commands:
make -f Makefile.cvs
./configure --enable-debug
cd kopete
make
su -c "make install"

Or am I doing something wrong?

You didn't supply a --prefix at the configure part. Are you sure you ran the executable of the 3.5 branch?
Comment 4 systemz89 2007-05-13 22:37:04 UTC
I'm using KDE 3.5.6
Comment 5 Matt Rogers 2007-06-09 08:02:45 UTC
you need to add "--prefix=`kde-config --prefix`" to your configure line. However, you should 'make uninstall' first before you run the the configure line.

I certainly see my own user icon.
