Step to reporduce :
* K-Menu > Lock session
* (session is locked)
* Move mouse or press button to request session unlocking
* Enter password / press enter

Actual result :
* Message : "Unable to unlock session because the authentication handler 
failed. You should kill kdesktop (process 1111)" (this is a free 
translation, for me it is in french)

Expeted Result :
* The session should unlock

Maybe you then should fix the handler to work properly? This happens e.g. when kcheckpass doesn't have the right priviledges.

Bug closed. Kdesktop is no more mantained.
