Version: 1.11.4 (using KDE 3.5.6, Kubuntu (feisty) 4:3.5.6-0ubuntu14) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.20-15-generic guys, since KBabel debian package (deb) doesnt have Gettext as it requirement, Gettext is not installed automactly. Every time you try to save a .po file, KBabel alerts about missing Gettext package. the file seems to be saved normally. regards, massa
This is a bug with the *distribution*, not with kbabel itself. Please report to Debian or (K)Ubuntu.
If gettext isn't needed, why does it alert on saving? it migt be a distribution issue that gettext isn't available, but if it actually isn't needed, then I would consider it a kbabel bug. Submitter seems to say "the file seems to be saved normally" /Sune
Pino, i submmited to (k)ubuntu too. but the file apparently saves normally without gettext package. As Sune said: so why its getting warnings? or it depends (and its a ubuntu repository maintainer problem), or it doesnt (so its a kbabel problem). someone need to confirm this on some other distro. regards, massa
kbabel and kaider use msginit command to get plural-forms number
debian recommends gettext for lokalize: http://packages.debian.org/sid/lokalize
