Description Mats Ahlgren 2007-04-25 22:50:07 UTC
Version: 1.9.6 (using KDE 3.5.6 "release 64.1" , openSUSE )
Compiler: Target: x86_64-suse-linux
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.20-rt8-default

please add option to customize "On [date] [person] wrote:" -- I often want to forward an email without sending it as an attachment, and so I do 'reply', but then it says "You wrote". Just in general I don't want any "you wrotes" because it's poor email form. Also I bet many people would enjoy the ability to customize the "On [date] [person] wrote" header.

Is what you want to do now possible using templates?
Settings - Configure KMail - Composer - Templates tab

Hmm, so it is. Thanks, sorry, I had looked at that preference pane but didn't notice the Reply/etc. sections (I was expecting a drop-down menu or something -- i.e. it may be a good idea to put a mini description at the top if planning to use non-standard GUIs).

Closing.
