Description Edwin Boersma 2007-04-19 08:56:45 UTC
Version: 1.9.5 (using KDE 3.5.5 "release 45.4" , openSUSE 10.2)
Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.18.8-0.1-default

When I start my laptop, Kmail is started automatically. At that moment, there is no internet connection yet. After the internet connection is established (with KNetworkManager), Kmail does not start connecting to my email server, although it is configured to do this every minute. I have to press the "retrieve email" button to get it going.

Seems like online/offline handling in KMail has some more bugs, for example bug 125402.

I can not reproduce with KDE 4.3.0
Here the interval mail checking (on a POP3 account) is always triggered - even when I disconnect the network via KNetworkmanager.
To me it seems that kmail does not react on the global (PC - not kmails offline setting) status of Network Connection at all.
