Version: 0.12.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

dialog box says this

Connection problem with Jabber server derocher.org

There was an error in the protocol stream: Generic stream error (sorry, I do not have a more-detailed reason)

Plugin Settings:
Message: defaults
Advertising Mode: Append to your status message
Media Player: Use specific media player (amaroK)

Station was RadioIO Acoustic Tuesday 11:30 EST.

So far SomaFM Indie Pop Rocks! doesn't have this problem.

Can you reproduce this bug every time you listen tot that radio station ? Maybe it's something in the tag name of the radio station...
Also could you please provide some URL for that exact radio station you are having problems with.
 Thank you.

According to Streamtuner it's current at
http://208.122.36.11:8010

Currently playing (amarok: copy tags to clipboard):
Keb'Mo - Your Love :: http://208.122.36.11:8010

I'm fairly certain it was related to UTF-8 character encoding issues of songs titles. And the crash would occur every time a new song started.

Wow, that was a year and a quarter ago and i think the problem still exists.

I can confirm this with KAWAII Radio, playing many songs with japanese characters in the title. Stream is at http://kawaii-radio.net/listen.m3u

On update of the jabber-status from the 'now listening' plugin, all affected connections get closed. Exact error message:

"There was an error in the protocol stream: Malformed stream packet received."

I also use amaroK. I'm not sure about other players, I don't have any others from the list.

Changed severity to "crash". I hope to have selected only the right bugs (>100) :-)

Is this still happening?
