Description Maciej Pilichowski 2007-04-16 22:39:57 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Wish/bug report.

For example, some app wrote out to console very long line, but Konsole wrapped it. So far so good. But Konsole should really remember it is just one line. So such bad things would not happen:

a) no refresh on resize -- when I make Konsole more narrow, and then wider, I see black margin, the text is gone (from that area) -- I think it is a bug really, wish would be to resize the text, but even without resizing, the text should not be lost
b) when I select wrapped text, and use KDE clipboard there is newline character inside. I didn't use X11 clipboard mechanism (just selecting), but I deliberately pressed ctrl+ins to use KDE internals (is it a bug?)
Comment 1 Robert Knight 2007-08-09 10:41:56 UTC
I may have misinterpreted (a), but if it means what I think it does, then that is fixed in KDE 4. (b) should also be fixed.

When you get a chance to try KDE 4 please add further comments if Konsole is not behaving as you would like it to.
