Description Sune Vuorela 2007-04-16 01:10:14 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

kdesu can use sudo to become root. If sudo does not require a password,
then kdesu will proceed to run the target program as root with no prompt
or message. In this same situation, gtksu brings up a message box
informing the user of the privileges granted without a password, with
the usual "don't show this again" checkbox; kdesu should do something
similar.

i wonder how they do it, given that there is no reliable way to check that no password will be needed. i suppose they could be popping up that dialog on top of the actually started application.
