Version: 0.1.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5) Installed from: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux Hi! I a problem with Thunderbird 1.5.0.10 and KIPI-Plugins 0.1.3 and it's no duplicate of bug 132220, because the output of commandline is different. The output of sending one images looks like this (sorry for the german translation): ------------------------------ invokeMailagent1: Anzahl der Elemente in m_filesSendList=1, und in der m_filesSendList_copy=1) m_attachmentlimit: 768000 Imagename: /tmp/kde-Gernot/kipi-sendimagesplugin-4717/Neues_Album_erstellen-p1000836_jpg.jpg filesize: 57060 mylistsize: 57060; attachmentlimit: 768000 invokeMailagent2: Anzahl der Elemente in m_filesSendList=0, und in der m_filesSendList_copy=1) number of elements in filelist 1 number of elements in m_filelist 0 ------------------------------ There is no error message, but thunderbird opens the "new mail" window WITHOUT an attached file. Is it a problem with KIPI or my thunderbird version? thx
I have the same problem. Thunderbird 1.5.0.10 opens a new mail but no image is included in this mail. console: KIPI (loading): Kipi-plugins - Send Images - Kipi-plugins 0.1.3-rc1 Resizing /home/se/Bilder/2007/2007_05_02_IXUS800_01/IXUS800_01_752_IMG_1911.JPG-> '/tmp/kde-se/kipi-sendimagesplugin-10888/ 2007_05_02_IXUS800_01-IXUS800_01_752_IMG_1911_JPG.jpg ' (JPEG ; 800 ) Resizing /home/se/Bilder/2007/2007_05_02_IXUS800_01/IXUS800_01_752_IMG_1912.JPG-> '/tmp/kde-se/kipi-sendimagesplugin-10888/ 2007_05_02_IXUS800_01-IXUS800_01_752_IMG_1912_JPG.jpg ' (JPEG ; 800 ) m_attachmentlimit: 7698000 Imagename: /tmp/kde-se/kipi-sendimagesplugin-10888/2007_05_02_IXUS800_01-IXUS800_01_752_IMG_1911_JPG.jpg filesize: 55402 mylistsize: 55402; attachmentlimit: 7698000 m_attachmentlimit: 7698000 Imagename: /tmp/kde-se/kipi-sendimagesplugin-10888/2007_05_02_IXUS800_01-IXUS800_01_752_IMG_1912_JPG.jpg filesize: 76728 mylistsize: 132130; attachmentlimit: 7698000 number of elements in filelist 2 number of elements in m_filelist 0
i have the newest svn of kipi-plugins installed and mozilla 1.5.0.10 (kubuntu feisty) and everything works. Please be so kind and update your kipi-plugins. Please care not to use thunderbird 1.5.0.1. As it can be seen in page http://kb.mozillazine.org/Command_line_arguments_(Thunderbird): There was a bug in thunderbird commandline parsing. Then please report again.
Tried it with newest kipi-plugins and libkipi (which are in gentoo portage) and Thunderbird 1.5.0.10 and Thunderbird 2.0. Still the same problem...
I have this same issue on two different installations. Digikam version is 0.9.2-final; thunderbird version is 2.0.0.6; KDE version is 3.5.7 release 67; OS is OpenSuse 10.3b3 on on one pc and OpenSuse 10.2 on the other.kipi plugins version is 0.1.4-33. I have Thunderbird set as default email client. When I try to send an image from digikam Thunderbird opens but without an image attachment. Any ideas as to what the solution may be?
I have another piece of information on this issue...if I select kmail as the mail client on the digikam mail window, then when digikam opens up kmail the photo shows as an attachment just like it should. However, I definitely have thunderbird set as my default mail client. If I set the mail client on the digikam window to "default", when digikam opens thunderbird there isn't an attachment window. Another odd thing is that if I select thunderbird, the binary path is set to /usr/bin/mozilla-thunderbird , but digikam returns an error saying "file binary path isn't valid". So something funny is going on here. I'll continue to look around for any other pieces of the puzzle, but I would be interested to know if anyone has any ideas.
I fixed this issue just a few minutes ago. Here is the solution I found. As per my last message, if I used what digikam considered the default email client-on my unit thunderbird-then digikam would open thunderbird, but would not attach a file. If I set the digikam mail client to thunderbird, the the binary path reported /usr/bin/mozilla-thunderbird would return an invalid path message. After thinking about this, I did a whereis in console and found that the correct binary path should be /usr/bin/thunderbird. I then set this path under the thunderbird selection and digikam would open thunderbird and attach a file. I am still puzzled as to what the problem is, but this workaround does work for me.
Hi! Thank you for your tipp, Terry! It works for me, but only if Thunderbird is already started, before I click "Send by mail" in digikam. It's a workaround... but it works :-)
