Version: 0.12.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages Compiler: as compiled by Debian - Testing Set for AIM messages. Kopete running in the background when a friend from my notice list came online. "Kevin is now online" message came up, with a highlighted 'chat' text. I clicked on chat and Kopete crashed. Can't reproduce - successfully started a chat with Kevin from the main Kopete window. Had Kevin log out of AIM, then back in, worked fine. -JL Here's the backtrace: (no debugging symbols found) Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/libthread_db.so.1". I have now been able to reproduce this several times, with different chat friends. It only happens when the Kopete main screen (with all my chat friends listed) is closed. When that screen is open, everything works fine. It only crashes occasionally, I can't get it to happen every time. -JL

Do you only use AIM? If not, does this happen with other folks from other networks like MSN or Yahoo?
Old bug, no debuginfo.
