Description Benjamin 2007-04-07 09:54:48 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs
Compiler: gcc 4.1.1 Red Hat 4.1.1-51
OS: Linux

In Konsole, when I have several tabs open (more than can fit in the tab bar), the left and right scroll buttons < and > appear on the right side of the tab bar. The RIGHT scroll button works fine, and shows me the tabs that are not visible on the right side of the tab bar. When it's fully scrolled to the right, the right button becomes grayed out, which seems natural. The left button is still active, which is also natural.

However, clicking on the left button only shows the button-depress animation, but nothing is occuring. The left side of the tab bar shows a wavy white line, intuitively indicating that more tabs exist to the left but cannot be seen. I would expect it to scroll the tab bar back to the left by clicking the button.

If I roll my mousewheel, it cycles through the tabs and scrolls correctly, so it seems to be only a problem with this button.

This is similar to bugs: 49377 and 94467, but has a difference in left vs. right, (and it's not resolved).
Along those lines, I seem to have two versions of qt installed: 3.3.7-0.1.fc6 and 3.3.6-13 (I'm ignorant about how to find which one is in use currently).

Thanks for Konsole, I love it!
p.s., no plugins are being used (other than what would be installed by default).

Well, now it magically works. I can't reproduce it again, but if I do, I'll report here and try to determine under what conditions it has the problem.

I didn't restart Konsole, just recently added a few more tabs and tried it... removing the new tabs doesn't reproduce the bug. (I guess this is a good thing!)
