Description Jonathan Glines 2007-04-03 07:07:55 UTC
Version: 0.12.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start chatting with someone
2. Enter the /clear command, clearing the screen
3. Close the chat window
4. Re-open the chat window to chat with that same person
5. Notice that the chat is "un-cleared", all that stuff you wanted to clear earlyer is back again!

Desired result:
Chat window should remain cleared even after exiting and entering the chat.

This is not a bug if the history plugin is enabled and you've turned on the option to show the last X number of messages.

Hmm... well, does the /clear command belong in the chat history? Because if the chat history plugin were to archive any /clear command occurrences in it's history, it should be smart enough to know how much of the chat to display when you open a new chat window.

that's not a bad idea. :)

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
