Version: 0.12.4 (using KDE KDE 3.5.6) Installed from: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Kopete's yahoo file transfer is known to be somewhat buggy. I've received a file from a friend (he was using the latest version of yahoo messenger) that kopete failed to asign a name (it was named something like ""). Tring to save it, prompt me with a warning: /home/my_home_directory already exists. The file he sent me had a short normal ASCII name. I have been unable to replicate this bug, but i belive a failsafe should exist.
Uncertain what reporter is attempting to report. Please provide more detail regarding what steps were taken to induce the bug and the intended vs. actual behavior.
When Kopete receives a file, it prompts the user to save it. The file name kopete displayed was ""(empty string). When I pressed save, it said: "the file /home/daniel already exists, do you want to overwrite this file?" Choosing yes, would had most likely overwritten my home directory. Expected behaviour: kopete should tell the diffence between a file and a directory (even though they are the same thing on a *nix system). This happend only once(and that was more than a year ago), but it did seem serious.
Hello from the KDE Bugsquad! Unfortunately, Yahoo has discontinued the Yahoo Messenger service, and the code has been removed from Kopete. Thus, I am closing this bug as "UNMAINTAINED" since it will no longer be fixable, or able to operate due to Yahoo.
