Description ysaillet 2000-11-01 18:02:23 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: konqueror
Version: 2.0.0
Severity: normal
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Konqueror doesn't keep the view mode setting (Icon view
tree view text view etc) after displaying a text file.

To reproduce the bug proceed as follow:
- Start Konqueror for browsing you home directory.
- Switch the view mode to "Detailed view mode".
- Now go to any directory containing a text file (/etc
for instance) and click on any text file (its content should
be displayed)
- Click on any directory IN the directory tree panel (left
panel) Konqueror switch back to the Icon view...

Note this does not happen if you use the navigation arrows
(upper directory etc...) only if you use the directory tree.

The bug should be easy to fix (if not already) but it is
pretty annoying when navigating in large directories where
the icon view is not really adapted...
