Description Gustavo Michels 2007-03-24 15:35:48 UTC
Version: 0.8.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from:    Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc version 4.1.1 (Gentoo 4.1.1-r3)
OS:                Linux

Kaffeine has the ability to directly play DVD ISO files by supplying /path/to/image.iso to the dvd.device xine parameter.

I'd like to play DVD ISO files directly from the command line, so I'm trying to use this option:

-d, --device <argument> Set Audio-CD/VCD/DVD device path. [default]

However, it seems to be ignored, as Kaffeine tries to open the default devices:

$ kaffeine --device DH_S2D5.ISO dvd://
QLayout "unnamed" added to QWidget "unnamed", which already has a layout

I know I can play ISO files in Kaffeine with file->open, but I thought I should report this.

Thanks

passing an iso file as device is quite strange :)
Comment 2 Gustavo Michels 2007-04-15 00:23:04 UTC
Yes, I know it's strange, but it's the only way I found for opening ISO image files directly from Konqueror. I really like the file->open feature but sometimes it would be much easier to me to fire Kaffeine from Konqueror.

Thanks for fixing this.

You can associate kaffeine to the iso files in konqueror settings or through the control center.
